Yes!! Many people don't realize that, but's it's actually VERY unhealthy to drink too much water. Your body only needs 8 to 10 (8-ounce) glasses of water per day (about 64 ounces (1 gallon), more or less depending on your size and how much you excercise). If you drink a lot more than that, it can wash out all your water-soluble vitamins like Potassium and Sodium, as well as others, which can lead to migraines and cramps! That's only if you consistently drink too much more than you need, like 2, 3, 4 or more gallons per day. So it does much more than add water weight. It also over-works your kidneys as they try to process that much fluid and can lead to kidney failure later in life if you drink too much water for long periods of time.

Many people think drinking excess water will make them lose weight or wash drugs out of their system and none of that is true. So just go easy on the water. If you tend too drink too much water, try using smaller cups or bottles so you're less likely to drink too much. Measure the cups and bottles you use daily to see how much you normally consume. If you are a healthy size and weight for your age, 64 ounces/day should be fine. If you're a little heavier or skinner than average, drink a little more or less, respectively.

No I think really water cleans out your system! All that might be bad with drinking water all day is you have to use the bathroom. But other then that It's fine! If you are really worried about drinking to much water then talk to your doctor other then that! You are fine and keep on drinking because you are the one who will feel much better in life then those of us that drink soda all day.

There is a condition known as "water-intoxication". When this happens, blood plasma increases while the salt content of the blood is diluted. After time, this loss of salt will interfere w/ brain, heart and muscle function. escential electrolytes are also lessened and this effects the heart's ability to beat correctly. Drinking 8 to 12 eight ounce glasses of water a day is plenty.

I some cases yes but only if you drink something like several gallons everyday. There is a condition where because of all the water the kidneys get over worked. It results in numerous things from wetting yourself to coma.

It depends on what you consider "too" much. I drink 5 or 6 litres per day. there was a confirmed story going around the news last year of an airline attendant who, worried about an upcoming drug test, drank so much water that her brain swelled up and she died. Weird, huh? But under normal circumstances you'll sweat & urinate it away.

Have a drink. You look thirsty.

It depends on when you drink water. If you drink before a meal, you're filling yourself up so you don't eat too much. If you drink water after a meal, you gain weight. But water is also good for you, so that you won't dehydrate in this blistering heat. Drink in moderation.

yup... there's a disease called hypervolemic hyponatremia which is actually a realtive decrease in concentration of sodium in your body just because there's too much water in it. the salts kinda get diluted and that's not a good thing because diluted salt can drive you to go into seizures and all that fancy jazz. too much volume can also put strain in your heart -- making it work harder by pushing more fluid (in the blood vessel). However if you kinda sweat it out or pee it out, drinking a lot of water isn't too bad at all.

anything in excess is bad for the body. Your body is made up mostly of water so it is important that you drink plenty of water so that you don't dehydrate. But, if you drink too much water, you can get sick, they call it water intoxication and that is when your body has more liquid then it can actually needs.

You will get a stomach ache, and your food won't sit well if you drink too much water. Drink enough, but if you are worried about dehydration, eat fruit and veggies, they contain lots of water.
