this boy i like lives in st. louis. i lived there, too. now i'm back in california. before i left st. louis, i called him and asked him if we could see each other before i left. i told him i was leaving that night, and he said he'd call me and stop by and see me before i left.. i never heard from him after that. what does this mean?

I think it means he was so madly in love with you that he couldn't bring himself to call you. He knew that it would just lead to a teary goodbye, and he decided he'd rather leave it open ended than go through that severe emotional pain. He knows he'll end up with you in the future; he wouldn't let it end any other way. So he spared you both the temporary suffering.
Wait. It's that or he doesn't really care. Yeah, that's what it was. Forget the first part.

how long did you dont see or hear him? his life continues the way he does and you come. this may bother a bit? maybe he is with too much things in his head? Ignore some of the RUDE comments. It does mean that he probably does not want to be with you anymore..which is very unfortunate...but don't be upset you can now move on to BIGGER and better things...you're too good for him anyways
