I'm looking for sits that focus on being an Atheist.
I've already found Atheist.org and AmericanAtheist.com but I need more.

I'm not looking for a website to be an Athiest, I am one, I am just trying to help my friend out in her quest to get her parents to understand why she chose a different path compared to the religions one they chose.

I liked what I saw on AmericanAtheist.com. But, I would think if she can't find anything she likes there, she should just tell her parent's her reason. Or, if she can wait a while, she could keep looking at this site and the answers here to different questions and see if any apply.
Also, I've read a few books. So far, the (religious) one I like the most is 'The Jesus Mysteries'. It's mostly about Gnosticism and how it relates to a lot of pagan motifs and how it relates to the Roman Catholic Church. I read that 'The Laughing Jesus' is a list of contradictions and mistranslations, and whether the mistakes were accidental or intentionally used for political reasons.

Frankly, I don't know a lot of sites for sharing advice on living life as an Atheist. There used to be a couple of ok chat rooms but they are gone. I'd suggest atheism.about.com and infidels.org.
Living in a place with plenty of non-believers, I've never felt the need to seek advice on how to get by with my disbelief. Good luck.

If you want to learn about atheism, agnosticism and freethought, there are very good sites that talk about these philosophies.

I really like the Secular Web at Infidels.org. They have some amazingly good and thought-provoking material on their site.
