I have to point out to one of your responders, Newfoundland and Labrador is one province of Canada, not two countries.
Meanwhile there are two dogs, a Newfoundland, and a Labrador.
for your dog, Niger or Nuit, or midnight, if black. maybe Argum or jaune if yellow.
