People who do not take dog to vets when they are hit by a car should be put in jail, fined 5X what the vet bill would have cost, and be forces to pick up dog poo from the sides of streets daily for 10 years after the three year jail term.

I most certainly hope you took her to a vet. She could have internal injuries and bleeding your not even aware of. The vet can xray her for broken bones and let you know about paralysis. Wouldn't you see a doctor if hit by a car? And how did she get hit by a car in the first place? Be a responsible owner. Watch your dog, take care of her and get her to a vet!

Since she's wagging her tail I doubt it, you can try pinching her leg and see if she has any reaction. If your dog is paralyzed, don't just put it straight to sleep there are dog wheel chairs. Check out www.handicappedpets.com and the yahoo group dodger'slist

Haven't you taken her to a Vet? Can you afford to? If you can't, at least call the office of one and see if he can't give you advice over the phone. If she can wag her tail I would guess her back isn't broken but she could have nerve damage. Get help for her if you can.

i had a dog that got hit by a car and she was paralized from the waist down and didn't even notice it she drug her body around her back legs up stairs and everything but was scraping up all her body we had to put her asleep , if your dog is wagging his tail that means he still has control of his body maybe he is just sore .good luck .

you should definitely take your dog to the vet. Her life may depend on it. Only your vet would know for sure if your dog is paralyzed. If you don't take your dog to the vet it could be considered animal abuse and there are legal things you might have to worry about if you don't take her.

Have you ever heard of a veterinarian? They are animal doctors and there are many of them in what's called "animal clinics". I bet if you try real hard you might find one that could look your dog over and answer your question for you better than anyone here.

If you haven't already, you need to get her to a vet. The vet will tell you if there is anything to worry about, and give you information regarding it.
