How do you know what kind of career to go in when you have been in one for the past 15 years an want to change

I would start shadowing people, join some groups, teach, do some hands on activities to explore some options. Then go to school and gain more knowledge about it. Get some help from new friends who are already in the field. Try to stay focused and don't think your too old. Good luck

Do a personality test. Ask people who are in different professions what their work is like. Read books related to different professions and see which ones sound attractive and make sense to you. (For example, business books make no sense to me, so I know I won't go into business).
