Yes my Moma had it done, 3 series of shots for her back problems and she was very groggy and in pain. The Dr.'s had let us know ahead of time someone would have to be with her in order to drive her home.

Depending on the "shot in the spine" sometimes the procedure is completed under "Fluroscopy" or xray. When this happens usually intravenous sedation or medication is given in a vein to make you relaxed during the procedure. If this sedation is given it is not allowable to let you drive home. Even if you don't have the sedation, sometimes the effects of the injections can cause your feet to have a little less coordination for a couple of hours or longer. It is not advisable for any person having an outpatient procedure of this nature to drive home. This is important because any complication could arise during your trip home. I hope this info helps.

If you mean a spinal block (anesthetic in the spinal cord) you will not have the use of your legs so yes, you'll need someone to drive you, and to wheel you out to the car. If you mean some other kind of shot, you'll be fine to drive yourself.

If it is to help you feel better like for back pain..Yes! My mother had it done, dad had to drive her home of course, but she is doing better with the pain!

the safest thing is yes have someone drive you home just to be safe never know what the side effects are so have someone take you home

I had to have someone drive me after my cortisone epidurals. I think that you should ask your DR, though.
