Thats a really different color scheme! It might work with a fall wedding, but do more purple and touches of orange-or do like a lilac purple or a light purple and then a light orange or maybe peach, but not like pumpkin orange and dark purple-that seems like a bit much for a wedding-but who knows-if it is planned right and matches then it might work-but in the end it is all up to you, it is your wedding. Good Luck!

I absolutely love that idea! For some reason, orange and purple is my favorite combination of colors. It's something different, and I really think you should go for it and do something outside of the norm! I want to do something different for my wedding besides the same 'ol white white white and the 'Here Comes the Bride' routine. It's your wedding, uniquely for you, so the wedding should be unique too!

And hey, what are you doing on Yahoo! Answers asking for opinions about this!? It's your big day, and you should do whatever the hell floats your boat for your special day! :P

How about you call it Lilac and Orange blossom? Unless you are going for a halloween wedding ..It's two very bold colors put together .. Try incorporating another color to balance it out like off white or cream.. or lightening the colors to go with the summer season. If you are having a fall wedding..at sunset, the dark rich colors are perfect.. as long as you have a balance. Even a nice chocolate brown.. but if it's spring or summer go lighter and earlier in the day..

Maybe you should do a purple and white theme.. with orange accents.. Like.. the ribbon on your bouquet could be a light shade of orange.. or you could have light orange flowers.. other then that.. it sounds like it would be to gaudy

I actually saw some samples of those colors together when I was planning my wedding and they looked great! As long as it fits your personality go for it!

Reminds me of Halloween. The colors do not naturally compliment each other, so it'd have to be a pretty spectacular color arrangement to pull it off.

What about going with coral or peach and a light purple or lavendar?

If it were a tropical wedding, sure. Still, be careful not to turn it into a circus!

I would add white balance it out two strong colors. Consult a color chart to find coordinating colors. You can find many on the internet
