The drug ecstasy is SUPPOSED to be MDMA. A relatively almost harmless drug by itself. Which can be a mild hallucigen. HOWEVER the drug ecstasy that a person buys on the street is usually NOT just MDMA & sometimes doesn't even contain MDMA. This is the reason it is a dangerous drug, because people call mixes of a wide variety of drugs XTC when in fact it is something entirely different, or sometimes similar but cheaper & more dangerous. Pure MDMA is white. No other color, not even off white, so if you are buying a capsule & it has color to it (brown usually indicates heroin) it isn't MDMA. My advice is to stay away from it, especially if you don't know the "seller" very well. But, maybe your asking cause your already using, I don't know, maybe you don't even have a desire to use it...... All I can say now is good luck & please be careful if you ever do use it & definately don't take more than one "tab" for at least awhile after the first one. It contains carbon, hydrogen and perhaps nitrogen and oxygen atoms. It is an organic compound. It binds to the brain receptors and is not good for use. It causes a high but leads to brain damage in the long term.

Pure ecstasy is MDMA but the ecstasy that most people buy on the streets could be a mix of multiple drugs. You can never know so it is pretty risky.
