I'm looking for unique fundraising ideas for a boy scout troop. We are tired of selling stuff over and over again.......Some service type ideas are what I'm after. Not the usual car wash, bake sale kind of thing. I'm out of ideas.....

Hold a community Trash & Treasure sale. Go out and find people to donate things to a yard sale. Or, have a community Yard sale and sell table spaces and collect a small percentage of the sales for the cause. All you do is advertise and collect the money.

Another favorite fundraiser that had gained popularity is find someone who has a contact at a restaurant or retail location. Ask them to donate a percentage of their revenue for one day to your group. You will do the advertising for them. Also, offer to wash the customers cars or at least their windows as they dine/shop inside.

If you have a local park/reservoir where people like to walk & bring kids to feed ducks, go to a local feed shop, buy a large bag of duck feed, repack in small paper bags & sell for $1. It ensres the ducks get a good meal (not bread -- no nutrional value there) and would make a good human interest story for the local papers, you could also bag shredded greens (romaine lettuce -- but costs more)
Good Luck

have a helper auction.... where people can bid on pairs of boys to work on their lawns or do small chores around the house for a couple of hours on a saturday...make sure they have a parent go with then to those that bid on services so u don't get child molesters bidding. it would raise monety as wellas teach the kids about giving back to the community. you could contact local churches and elderly care centers to get your audience
