Is it right? No. Is it a right? Yes but that doesn't make it right. It is a moral issue and the cops don't make arrest's for immoral acts unless of course it is illegal. Imagine this. The biggest war protestor in the U.S. dies. They had a following so about 500 people were going to show up at the celebration, I mean funeral, sorry. 150 or so war supporters who have friends and family dieing or trying to stay alive over seas, show up and start protesting the anti war protestors. How would they like it? They wouldn't but wouldn't it be cool to see. They would just have to take it because it would be the right of the war supporters. I have to admit it would bring them down to their level and I would not like to see it happen because it is childish and stupid to act that way. But how would that make anti war people feel, especially the family of the deceased? It might make them think twice before they hold any more protests at funerals. I have to admit that if my son didn't make it home from Iraq and at his funeral this happened, it would be me committing the crime and going to jail but I would make sure I took at least one of them down with me. Sorry if my opinion seems harsh or extreme but I get tired of the ignorance of some people, I am not refering to you just the ones who take it to far and don't know when to stop. Your question is a good one I just wish It wasn't such an emotional one for me and I could have a more civilized answer for you but thats just the way I feel about it.

It makes me so mad. The people they are protesting are fighting so they have the right to protest. I believe there is a time and a place to protest, and it is not outside a funeral.

I agree 110%. That's just tacky and low blows. I believe in the right to protest but at the right place, at the right time and with some class so that the point gets across in a mature way.

I hear these protesters are con people. They try to get people
mad so they will beat on them and get them locked up, and then
they can sue the cities for not protecting them and false arrest.

Using the very freedoms that ( we, former and active servicemen & women ) provide to make some kind of sick statement against all of us ........I don't normally condon violence....but for these sick f*cks, YES! They need to be CRUSHED!
Let's start staging protests at Liberals funerals and see what happens when we chant....."thank God for killing liberals!"

Funny you should mention that. Yes, the cemetery is private property. Very well could give the police leverage to arrest them for trespassing and disorderly conduct.

They are small, insensitive puny little whiners who do not have the decency to balance their right of free speech against the needs of a family in grief. Totally self serving.
