The US has intervened before (Bay of Pigs), and with Cuba's increasing friendliness with China, a possible future rival of the United States, it seems plausible that our government may just decide to go into Cuba to prevent any possible future use of Cuba by an enemy of the United States.

The US will not become involved in Cuba after Castro's death. Once he is gone the regime will begin to implode. As most dictators Castro did not set up anyone to take on what he created. Very similar to what happend to Yugosolvia after Tito's death. His brother is not strong enough to carry on the Cuba version of Communism. The most likely next step in the history of Cuba will be an extended civil war lead by some of the stronger Army Generals. As the civil war begins the US will pick a "Democratic" side and send money and prob weapons, but we will not become entrench in and battles in Cuba. No American President Rep or Demo wants to be remembered as the one who had the Second Bay of Pigs

From the experts this morning, this word: The U.S. may not like Raul Castro taking over, but it's better that he take control that the country go into chaos and everyone start trying to flea. The U.S. doesn't want chaos and panic. Raul Castro controls the military and is expected to be able to control his people for now. But there's doubt as to whether has enough support to be president for a long time.

We will not need to intervene in Cuba, except maybe to arm the Cuban exiles who will be returning to take back their homes and re-establish democracy. CUBA LIBRE!
