I'm 50+ and am divorced I'm financially secure so I retired a few years ago. I decided to get back into shape, not really knowing what that meant. I have learned that the looks I've been getting are because women like buff. Anyway I don't want to go to far and I don't know when to stop building and just maintain. So because I'm doing this in a large part to look great to women I need a woman's answer. Please.

I am 25 and married, but when I got with my husband, he was well developed in the muscle area, and he's 5'9". Pecks are good, as long as they don't fill a B cup bra, your arms should be able to look toned, and still rest at your sides. Your legs should be able walk next to each other, and not look like you just got off a horse. You should also keep an eye on your neck and shoulders, you don't want them to swallow your head.

All women like 4 and 6 packs, so that part is your decision.

Not all women like the "buff" sort of men. Sometimes "buff" looks gay lol. Just be yourself and you'll have no problems getting the ladies

I'm not a woman, but as a fellow exerciser, I feel somewhat qualified to at least share my opinion with you. If you cannot put your arms down at your side it means that you have gained too much muscle mass on your arms. If you have to walk with you legs very far apart (like some cowboys), it means that you have worked your leg muscles too much. Also, a good gauge of whether you are working out too much is also a good gauge of whether you are eating too much food from the top of the food pyramid: if you are too big to fit into your clothes without ripping them, you have worked out to much or eaten too much.

i think its when you can start seeing your veins because thats just over the top and and women just like men to be them selves or at least a little buff take my friend for an example i told him to work out and then i'll tell him to stop when he needs to now he's in good condition and he's satisfied with himself

Getting and keeping in shape is great, especially for someone your age. It's better for your health and heart. But don't be so muscular that you can't put your arms down, where your upper arms are bigger then the chicks thighs you are chilling with. Natural is always best in my opinion.

If you look like the men in those fitness magazines. A ton of veins sticking out is so not hot. Well, it sorta looks good on my horse after a hard workout, but not a guy.

Okay, first of all, DO NOT DO IT JUST FOR WOMEN!!! Women find that unattractive. Just keep working out until YOU feel great. That's what women like the best --- self-confidance.

I like a tone man. I never liked a "buff" man. They look strange and unnatural to me.
