Don't exercise within 2-3 hours of going to bed.

You should be fine.

Primary Insomnia

Alternative Names:

Insomnia - psychophysiological (learned); Chronic insomnia
Treatment:

Nonspecific measures to induce sleep (sleep hygiene):

Using the bed only for sleep and sex
Going to bed at the same time every night
No daytime napping
No caffeine, alcohol, or nicotine
Eliminating the conditioned anxiety that comes with trying to sleep by reassuring yourself that you will sleep or distracting yourself
Maintaining comfortable sleeping conditions
Eating at regular times daily (avoiding large meals near bedtime)
Exercising early in the day
Getting out of bed if you are not asleep after 5-10 minutes and doing something else - going to another room may help reduce anxiety about falling asleep
Practicing evening relaxation routines, such as progressive muscle relaxation or meditation
If the above recommendations are followed and the person continues to have insomnia, medications including benzodiazepines may be appropriate.

I suppose the thing to ask is what time are you doing the training? If you are doing it sometime around two hours before you are trying to go to bed, then yes it can cause insomnia. Also, if you are using something to inhance your workout, (Ex. fat burners, muscle burners or diet pills...) then this will also cause you sleep problems.

My advice to you is to try something natural before bed... something containing L-tryptophan, (like turkey or warm milk,) about 30 to 60 minutes before bed should help you.

Good luck in your workouts, and I hope this helps you.

Oh definately. Any time you are under stress or are depressed it most certainly can cause lack of sleep.
Sometimes it can be hard to turn your brain off! Valerian root and Tylenol PM. Or a good glass of wine

Eventually we must relax. Yes, your adrenaline is pumping, and you must relax and take it easy. Never work out right before bedtime! Try doing meditation or yoga before bed! Light streching ok too! Eat more peanut butter!
