Focal? Dude, he said he wanted loud, he didn't ask you about sound quality. Anyway, for max output, there are really only two at the moment: the Kicker L7's, and the MTX Jack Hammer: http://www.mtx.com/caraudio/products/subwoofers/jackHammer.cfm If you care about sound quality, then get the L7's. They not only slam, when you give them enough power, they sound good, too. And the only JL Audio sub that outputs alot of SPL's is the W7. It's probably third in output capability to the above two.

First off, the comment about W7s hitting a third as hard as l7s is just completely false.

The 13W7s can hold 3000 real RMS watts when properly tuned. Not peak. Not Falsly advertised, overinflated watts like kicker advertises.

And not only that, but the JLs also sound far better because the L7s are at a cone rigidity disadvantage with the fact that theyre square and are therefore much more likely to deform under heavy loads.

second, youre not going to be hitting 170 decibals with anything. Thats not possible in a car audio system. That would require quite a few hundred horsepower just to power soemthing (most likely a reed system) to be capable of putting out 170 decibals. Not to mention it would deafen anyone (literally) in a prob around a mile radius. Thats TEN THOUSAND times louder than a jet at takeoff.

and considering that human hearing cuts out around 20,000 hz, 75,000,000 hz is kinda stupid.

edit: And never buy anything from cartoys. You can get brand new componants of the exact stuff they sell on ebay for about 1/2 or less of the price. Car toys rips you off like its nobodies business.

To be honest i dont know but the speaker is only a small factor in the equation you need a good box. dont listen to any of the retards that answered above they probably havnt even been to a competition. Go to SPLbassX.com, make a account there and ask those people, alot of the compete their vehicles in both spl and sq so your gonna get the best answers there, most of the products youve never heard of, most people hear only buy the main stream products jl, kicker, alpine, and so on. You never hear of the other stuff cause it cost so dam much that nobody buys it unless they are seriously paid or competing

Focal speakers are about the best for autos right now.....you're gunna love the price.....get ready to break the bank.....I would reccomend audisson amps as well.....the best head unit that I can find to go with all of this is the higher level Clarion stereos....if you just want loud and do not care about sound quality.....upper level kicker or MTC might be best. Check out the JL W6 series for subs. Oh yeah check out the MTX Hammer...not the small hammer the one that takes a crain to lift!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The speaker might be rumbling because the amplifier is damaged. So, you should do some testing before you spend money on a new speaker. The speaker might be fine.
