This kind of makes me wonder if Israel is only after hezbollah and not the innocent lebanese civillians

Terrorists directly target civilians in an attempt to change political decisions. Hizballah has been firing rockets into civilian areas with the specific purpose of harming civilians.

Here's the Human Rights Watch link:

Here they are in civilian clothes and not uniformed as identifiable combatants:

Lastly here is the propaganda video

The Israeli military installations are not normally found in the middle of civilian areas, thus there is less risk to civilians. I suspect they have a much better air raid warning system and can see the rockets coming in. This would allow for more warning and for more citizens to seek appropriate shelter.

As for the Lebanese, Hezbollah locations are right amongst the civilian population and therefore, regardless of accuracy, there is greater risk to civilians. I suspect the air raid warning systems are not in place or of poorer quality as well.

Lastly, who would be making the reports on Hezbollah casualties? The Israelis? They can only do that by having people on the ground in the areas after attacks to make the count. They would have to be able to tell civilians from Hezbollah fighters, likely not easy since they essentially dress the same. Do you think Hezbollah would even consider telling the world how many of their fighters are being killed here? Why give the Israelis positive input as to their success? Do you think the Lebanese government could do this? They can't even stop Hezbollah from dragging their country into a war they had no wish for.

When you start a war, you have to face the consequences. How many rockets are the Israelis supposed to allow to be shot by Hezbollah into their country and do nothing? Hezbollah stepped on a tiger's tail here and must now pay for that. I'm certain that the Israeli people and their government wish casualties were limited only to their enemies, but since Hezbollah will not make an open fight of it, all that is left is regret. If I were Israeli I certainly would feel no guilt about this. I would want my government to take the action necessary to stop the rockets from hitting my homeland.

Will they ever learn?

Israel has a tracking system that tells them where the rockets are being fired from and Israel fires rockets at those points, but the way Hezbollah uses it's strategies is why Lebanese civilians are being killed and it works like this: Hezbollah is a terrorist group that knows how Israel works and they fire rockets from hospitals, homes for the elderly and schools and other places where civilians live and that is why Israel fires to those points without knowing if there are civilians or not and Hezbollah gets the credit by making these civilians the victims in this war. This is terror at it's most!

No Israeli civilians have died from 'misguided' Hezbollah rockets. Hundreds have died from rockets deliberately targeted at civilian areas WITH NO military value. Hezbollah launches attacks from private homes, then blames Israel when civilians are at the launch site.

as with taliban soldiers, hezbollah does there best to carry of it's dead the reason for this is a morall issue they report less dead it's keeps spirits up and if the otherside kills 90 but can only varify 13 they can't get an exact count to make future plannings as easy. They may plan to use a small unit to attack and because of incorrect numbers they may walk into 300 instead of 100.
That and the press can get more bang for the buck by using civillian deaths.

Why? What purpose would it serve. Hezbollah fires from civilian areas then runs away like the cowards they are, leaving the civilians in the path of return fire. How can any thinking person blame the Israelis for that!

There are no reports of Hezbollah soldiers being killed because Hezbollah is not a regular army. Hezbollah combatants take up arms for a specific purpose and then disband and go back to their normal lives: plumbers, taxi drivers, doctors, clerics, etc. This is typical of guerrillas and one of the many reasons why guerrillas everywhere have never been defeated in history.

And where do these so call reports come from? You actually trust any form of media? Including Western and Arabic media sources? Next time do more research before making any assumption, none of us here are in any position to make any claim or assumptions. In fact, I will encourage you to look up Western propaganda, Palestine propaganda (Pallywood), who can you trust? A number of discrepancy are surfacing with regard to the Qana raid. I am not suggesting that Isreal is not at fault for killing innocent civilians, I am simply saying that you cannot take things at face value. No one has the right to judge because no one here really know what happened. There are a lot of things we don't know. It's a war, everyone play dirty, it's human nature.

Because Israel isn't bombing Hezbollah. Look at Qana. They killed over 30 CHILDREN and justified it by saying the house that they bombed was near a place that had launched missles at Israel.

Hezbollah are placing civilians in the firing line so that when they are killed, it places pressure on Isreal.
