Some people think meditation is a pagan form of prayer... it is a P.C. way to give "prayer time" in school without calling it prayer. But, it doesn't matter what you call it... someone will complain.

Meditation is not religious or any form of religion.
Meditation could actually HELP every single person in that school, the kids will clear their mind and therefor be able to think clearer, making their test scores higher.
Meditation has nothing to do with a God, Devil, or anything like that.
Meditation is clearing your mind. It's that simple.
This lady you're talking about sounds uneducated and close-minded.
Your school shall allow you to meditate, and you should have the choice of wanting to meditate or not.

I think that is really stupid. Especially since in most Protestand Churches, you will see a section for meditation in the bulletin. It doesnt necessarily mean meditation like what a yogi does, it is more of a time to be quiet and reflect and also say a little prayer. In my second grade class, we used to say the Lord's Prayer.

i think meditation should be introduced to every school instead of religion and i was going to approach my kids school with this idea actually
to help children find a few moments peace with them self , to aid in their concentration , to help them grow spiritually
i think its a wonderful idea
and for anyone who thinks meditation is the devils work ... i just cant figure out why on earth it can be confused with anything but peace and harmony

I meditated right after yoga. Healthy body, healthy mind. Or maybe we should just take prescription drugs to ease stress for our good health.

Ask your prominent instructor in case you may take a seat of their college room for the duration of your lunch. take a seat in a nook table (or in basic terms a nook), face faraway from absolutely everyone else who could be in there, and meditate away.
