We don't really have any sayings per say, but my stepdad's side of the family uses a lot of Pennsylvania Dutch words.
My favorite one is "schleck" - it means lick. Anytime anybody used the margarine at my grandmother's house, we had to check the lid because my great grandfather always schlecked the knife. I didn't even know it wasn't a 'normal' word until my boyfriend said he'd never heard it before.

Most of these are from my Grandmother.
"Hard as a brick bat"
"A pig says "huh" when you pull his tail he says "u-huh"
( I never quite understood that one)
"Crazy as a loon"
She also called a bag a "poke"

the youngest do all the dirty work, the adults pay for everything. Ironically, the chain has somehow broken on me as soon as I'm adult.
