Peroxide will erode the interior of the ear after prolonged usage. Diluting it will help with the erosion, but the water may worsen the infection.
You really should contact your vet and get some antibiotic ointment made specifically for animals. You can also go to a pet store (Walmart may have something) and they will have OTC medications that may help.
Be sure not to stick anything in your dogs ears, but do use a cotton ball or paper towel and keep the exposed areas clean.

I really wouldnt use perioxide. I've used that before and my dog's ear didn't heal. Dogs with floppy ears tend to have more problems due to heat and mositure. You need to make sure you dry the ears after baths and try to avoid getting water into them.
Clean them regularly. You can buy stuff at a pet store like PetSmart for the dogs ears. The best thing to do is take it to the vet incase it has mites.

I would take your dog to the vet. An infection is nothing to play around with, even in the ear.

Don't use too much peroxide because it eats away at the wax. Wax is important. Take your dog to the vet and they'll give you the right medicine.

Have you been to the vets? Are you positive it is an ear infection.
Dogs can get many problems in the ear canal, including this....

I would seek a proper diagnosis and appropriate treatment first, many ear infections can lead to permanent ear damage or hearing loss.

BOY HOWDY,
TAKE THE DOG TO A VET.

Do you not realize you have 8 year olds "give or take" on here answering questions too? Are you really going to settle for the answers you get here to take care of your BELOVED pet?
Or are you going to go to a professional "VETERINARIAN" and find out what is REALLY wrong with the ears, and get the CORRECT medication.

How do you know for sure what it is?
Could be ear mites, fungus, really dirty, or a number of things.

Peroxide is not for curing an ear infection. For that you need antibiotics, so please go see a vet.

What would a veterinarian say?

It's true, peroxide destroys skin cells.
