Even if you do meet someone on the online dating service, you will have to meet the man face-to-face in a public place eventually. You may not have much time for dating, but chances are that you will go out a lot before you will find somebody appropriate for you. Avoiding bars, on the other hand, is simple. Just try to stay away from people that drink too much. There are people that prefer more conventional places such as restaurants. Maybe you can meet somebody at your workplace. Of course, you do not have to date your boss or other superiors due to possible complications.

I don't think the internet is a safe place to meet people well..it isn't anywhere but if your a risk-taker sure. Meeting on the internet,is like meeting in person. The thing is that the person can be not what is expected. Yes people have found their soul mates online but i rather do it the old fashioned way. Don't look for love,love will find you.

yes, i met my bf of 1 1/2 years off of match.com. i wasn't completely sold on this type of thing and i'm still not, but things are going really well. we have even started talking about marriage. we are totally opposites but at the same time there's this thing we have with each other that i've never had with anyone else.
just be careful when meeting people. bf and i talked by e-mail for a week, then over the phone for two weeks, then we met up at a public restaurant for our first date.

It's no different than dating locally...there are alot of scary people in world, and the internet just let's you meet them from further away.

it is possible to meet ppl on the internet. but dont...u dont know what kind of ppl are on the internet. ur man will come to u by fate. just wait and dont rush because if u rush u will find the wrong guy

I never use 2 think so, but then again that was before my pc days. I still think it is unlikely, but possible. Keep in mind though, it's very dangerous.

It hasnt happened to me. But my aunt and uncle thats how they met. And well they have been married for many years now and are very happy together.
