i have a bearded collie mixed,hes used to sleeping outside...
(hes about 9 yrs old and 63 in dog years)
how do i get him to sleep indoors?

i would get one of those nuce facny beds. my parents have a 15 year old sheltie mix who now sleeps on a huge dog bed that sits on top of a doggie cot! She loves it!
If you are going to allow her on the bed and/or couch try takin a nap there with her so she gets comfortable and use to it

Let him or her sleep in the bed with you or just in your room. Let him or her know that its ok if she wants to get on the bed. During non sleeping hours call him or her up on the bed and love him. I am a gaurd attack dog trainer and have only had one dog that I didnt raise from a pup and she was trained to stay off the bed but in no time i got her spoiled to sleeping with me. All my dogs have slept in my bed from the time I got them at 6 wks old. Because they are gaurd dogs I want them as close as possible to me at all times. Hope the baby gets used to being treated good. Why does he have to sleep inside after 9 years of outdoor bliss? Unless you're near a dangerous area where he might get hurt or wild animals may hurt him? Let him be free!!! If you don't like that answer, give him a bath and let him sleep in your bed with you!!!

Um, keep him in at night? Wish my parent's dog would sleep OUTSIDE sometimes... lol

Let him sleep in your bed with you. Start with a leash.
