There may be a few reasons, he may really mean it when he says that he is not ready for a relationship. He may have issues when it comes to women, and fear of commitment..Because being with someone like that means more then just words. It means he cares enough thinks you are special, has deep feelings for you wants to move forward. I think you know better then I do, if he is really into you! If you have asked him to be committed to you but he hasn't,he is not ready. Don't push him let him have enough room to think about what he wants. If he cares enough for you, he will make the effort. Remember, If you let something go and it comes back to you it was yours, if it doesn't it was never yours at all.You are a human being who deserves a good man who will love and care for you, no matter what! Love yourself first and the rest falls into place!.Good Luck!

I'm gonna be honest here, it could be one of two things. First one could be that he just plain isn't interested in you, he thinks you two might not mesh well, and he is just trying not to make you feel bad.

Second, he might really not want a relationship right now. I know a lot of my friends want to "freelance" until their late 20s, and then find a girl. They think that by being with one girl, they can't explore their options, so they want to live all aspects of life without a commitment to anyone else, and then settle down later with someone after they experience life on their own.

It's possible that he isn't ready or he may not want a relationship with you and is trying to not be mean or to hurt your feelings.

Trust me, he means what he says. It's a commitment thing, and that scares the hell out of a lot of us.
He must feel that you were pushing to hard, to have a serious commitment, and that's it for him, so it's bye bye time.

Either he's not attracted to you, or he's going after someone else.
