in other words. like when you ask ur b/f how do u think ur realtionship is going...why do they pause...and sumtimes dont answer. and move on with a different subject.?

Some guys do that because they are scare on how the girl will react. so they try to get around it the best way the can think of. Some guys will just lie and say it is going good to make the girl happy but that is not what the girl wants to hear. she wants to hear the truth no matter what the guy thinks she wants to hear. Girls if the guy does this then just keep asking until you think he is tell the truth.

Because it means we have to actually think about the relationship, and that's something we aren't comfortable doing.
We tend to think of it, in a minute by minute scenario. Long term thoughts, scare the crap out of us.
Things like that can lead to commitment issues, and we don't want to go there.
Just judge by what he says and does, and forget talking about it.

i think that they do that and they don't want 2 say something that they aren't suppose 2 say 2 their g/f , for them it may be going well but they don't ask them self's if everything is alright with their g/f about what has bin going on.

because they are probably cheating or whateva or they trying to get with u and they dont want u to know about what they doing on the side

because they think they're one wrong answer from you dumping them. If theres nothing wrong with the relationship, that question shouldn't be asked, and hence they avoid it.
