What I think? That you're handling a wrong information. This is not true. You cannot vote anywhere under the sun and over the earth without government issued IDs and proof of residences.
There a few cities in Europe (Dublin, Amsterdam, Brussels) that allow for residents who are not yet citizens to vote for local councils and mayors. Toronto is the first town in the Americas that has started to con temple a similar move. This right to non citizens is restricted to legally established residents (green card holders, if you like) who can prove that have been living in the same town for a period no shorter than 5 years.
Do not spread false rumours. There's enough hatred and resentment flowing around in Yahoo Answers.

I would like to see your proof on that one. And I'm not talking about showing a website that someone made up and is giving out this information, I want to see it on a US Government website that says illegal aliens can vote!
Any State I have ever lived, I have needed to show identification to register to vote. If it was that easy, teenagers under the age of 18 and everyone else who legally aren't allowed, to vote would defiantly be voting! You need to check your facts.

You must live in California. The senatorial candidate who said this lost because she was wrong. Did you never hear of voter registration . An illegal immigrant can not vote.

No, they can't. You need to present a proof of citizenship in order to obtain your electoral card. The least you need is your birth certificate and if you are born outside of the US, you can't get your card.
You should consider also that less than 50% of elegible americans vote (as an average), so it probably would not matter at all if they were able to vote...

No they can't. They have to have a voter's registration card.. which holds all the information about that person.
Which is then sent off in the mail, and updated on the federal database..
You can't just walk in and say.. okay I'm a citizen, where is the voter's booth...

I think if I put $100 bill in the hands of most of you you'd swear it was only a fifty. The problem is your using Answers as your first source for this information, and because you don't keep up you just shrug it off. Shame on Jill, no - shame on you!
Look at your state's voting app...and find out what it says for people who have NO ID AT ALL.

It is illegal, it is a felony in Colorado, and in this climate I expect both post vote verification and prosecution.
I don't think it would be a very good idea.
