I'm not a Christian, but frankly, that's a pretty confused "concept" you've got there. Why don't you restate it in plain English and give it another try?

I'm actually glad you brought up that last point in your opinion... i hope that you also understand that those Christians trying to force our religious beliefs on you, are not all Christians. i feel that i am a Christian, but i also feel that in my faith is an underlying compassion, to all in this world, that everyone has the right to an opinion and a belief without others criticizing. Many Christians are so afraid of 'doing wrong in the eyes of God', that they feel they have to compensate for it, thus most feel that 'recruiting' people to the faith carries some sort of 'golden ticket' into Heaven... my favorite hypocritical experience as a Christian, was when a southern baptist told me (in 6th grade) that i was going to hell because i was baptized as a baby (i am Catholic)... so trust me, it's not just the non-believers that SOME Christians target. but as you stated before... i can only speak for myself, but i assure you, that not all Christians are bullies to the religion... i apologize on the behalf of the people who call themselves Christians, and attack people who have different beliefs... that is not (in my opinion) how God intended us to act.
I also have a lot of respect for someone(you) to stand strong for what they believe in, even though they know it will bring criticism.
Please do understand though, that some of us see things, are in circumstances, or have happenings in life, that allow us no other choice but to believe that there is something out there intervening with every logical, scientific and 'sane' thing in our lives... some things (to some people) just don't have any other answer, and it's not because we are not willing to listen.
Take care

I understand completely, and do not think that your psuedo-intelligencia will fool people. Wow, you amaze me with your "2 dollar word" power, since that is what they call it in 7th grade, correct? The only part of your response I had difficulty with was all the typos, it's not hard to spell check, since you obviously need it desperately. If you can find one word in the Bible, which I know you've probably never even glanced at it, you trendy cool guy you, just one word commanding Christians to murder, then give it to me. Otherwise, your "absurdities, atrocities, and hatred" are merely all opinions.

The so-called "religious right" or "Christian right" has spouted many inflammatory and hateful things and advocates many exclusive and bigoted behaviors. They also impede scientific and medical breakthroughs at every turn. It is their intolerance and ignorance that gives all Christians a bad name. When mainstream Christians do not speak up to condemn these people, you all become complicit in their behavior, like it or not.
So if you do not wish to be lumped in with a bunch of loud-mouthed, aggressive, narrow-minded idiots, then let the world hear you say, loud and clear, "That is not the Jesus I worship! That is not what Christianity is about! Stop stealing my religion to advance your political agenda!"
And in the next election in your state, remember that there are other things to base your decision on besides gay marriage and abortion - the anti-choice or "marriage is one man and one woman" candidate may appeal to you on religious grounds, but he may be a terrible choice in every other area. Remember, when religion gets involved in government, the government automatically gets involved in religion - do you really want that?
Vote for checks and balances.

I understand your point but that doesnt answer why atheists are here if they dont want to believe in God? I know no atheist will ever change my faith, no amount of Christian or God bashing will either and on the same note, I know if I sit and bash Darwinism or say how stupid atheists are, it wont change any of their minds either.. BUT I am not on a science thread nor an atheist thread why? Because it would be pointless, like Atheists on spirituality threads.

What? What is the question that we are supposed to understand. The only thing I saw was a rant on why you are not a Christian, and if that is true, why would you care if we understand what you believe or in this case, do not believe.
If you do not believe- why are you on the religion & spiritually Q/A part and not on another part- Like Atheist unite or something like that?
Again I have to ask- why do you care what we think or what we think about you?

Wow, I don't know what Christian churches you've been to, but they sound pretty scary. (That description seemed pretty foriegn to any I've experienced). Still, you allowed to believe as you'd like, and so am I.
Peace.

I understand and you are entitled to your view. However, your belief in your view doesn't make it right. Neither does mine. Faith is required in both situations, as is science. There can be peace between science and God because they both answer questions that the other can't. Likewise, there will never be any complete proof that doesn't agree to allow some of both into it because they are both parts of this complexity. Having said that, you are free to continue to disagree. I just wanted to speak directly to some of your points.

You sound like you were molested by a preiest and that is why you hate Chrirstians, so get HELP
