Islam is not a religion of peace ! It is far from it!

There are some muslims I am sure who honestly believe that their religion is one of peace but the rest of the world sees it differently!

I can, because I understand that the terrorists have hijacked the Islamic religion and use its name in an attempt to legitimize their violence.

It would be the same thing if the KKK changed its name to the NAACP but still acted like the KKK. Does the name change mean anything? Look at their actions. And I would suggest looking at Turkey as a shining example of a democratic moslem country. They are one of the USA's staunchest allies because they know what is at stake.

Yes Islam is religion of peace. here are some quotations from the quran , which is holy book of islam.

"But if the enemy incline towards PEACE, do thou (also) incline towards peace, and trust in God: for He is One that heareth and knoweth (all things). (The Noble Quran, 8:61)"

“If they leave you alone and offer to make PEACE with you, God does not allow you to harm them.” (QURAN 4:90)

"But if the enemy incline towards PEACE,do thou (also) incline towards PEACE and trust in Allah:for he is the one that beareth and knoeth (all things)". {8:61}.

"But Allah doth call to the home of PEACE:He doth guide whom He pleaseth to a way that is straight." {10:25}

"and the servants of Allah Most Gracious are those who walk on the earth in humility and when the ignorant address them ,they say,PEACE". {25:63}

"But turn away from them, and say PEACE But soon shall they know." {43:89}

***It's easy, especially when you think about all the people that have been killed or tortured in the name of Chtistianity. I am not excusing members of islam for their wrongdoing as I am not excusing members of Christianity or any other religion.

Before one makes any generalized statement, educate yourself.

99.999% of religions are based on faith and love whether its to oneself or others, but there will always be individuals who spoil the faith for the masses.

Murder, torture and terrorism under guise of religious practise is unfortunately just as popular at this time as it has been throughout history.

After I learned to say "Defending Israel is in the best interest of America" (it isn't, and never has been).....I can probably say anything with a straight face.

All religions are the downfall of mankind, they all think they are right and want to change everyone else to think their way and get very angry if you don't, get rid of religion and the world would be a much better place, but it is doomed now..

No more than I can say Christianity is...

Silly religions. They all think they're peace and love because they can't or won't read their own holy books.
