Fasting is not eating for a period of time. That is how the first meal of the day became known as "Break Fast".
There are various levels of fasting including:
Dry Fast - no food and no water. Usually only lasting a day. (Sunset tonight marks the beginning of the fast of Tisha B'Av in Judaism.)
Wet Fast - no food, but as much water as you want. This can last for several days.
Juice Fast - Juices allowed. Sometime restricted to only fruit juice or only vegetable juice; or a dry fast for 24 hours; followed by water only for 24 hours, followed by fruit juice for 24 hours, followed by vegetable juice for 24 hours and then returning to a normal diet.
Enemas are fluids recieved up the anal cavity. Usually a sodium and water mixture designed to help draw water from the body into the digestive tract to pull loose anything sticking to the walls of the digestive tract. See also Colonic Irrigation for a stronger method of the same practice. Some use a coffee enema after a regular enema to cause the digestive tract to spasm and push out anything that is left inside.

Fasting in in the Bible. It is usually done for spiritual reasons. You-re denying the body or flesh so your spiritual side will be stronger.
An enema is usually done to deal with constipation. If your having a hard time having a bowl movement. then warm water is pushed inside the lower bowl or intestine and is held there for a few minutes to unstop the blockage of hard stool or feces. Also people, do what is called a colon cleansing. That is done to get out all of the toxins that has built up in side your intestines over a long period of time.

fasting is when you're on a diet, basically you can't eat anything for a certain period, or you are only allowed to drink water. Enema is when fluid is placed in the rectum, depending on the problem, there are different types of enemas.

fasting is not eating! In some countries especially in india for god sake they fast once in a month on special occassion in the name of god. Hence, whole day they dont eat anything except water but in some cases they do eat whole day fruits and they drink tea or coffee or they only eat sweets. In indian fasting, that is when they fast in the name of god, they dont eat anything salty, sweet and sour. But they do eat sweet and fruits when they fast
