Paper, is easy to load in your car, you can stand it up and stack if you had to. The plastic ones end up emptying out under you car seat, you end up finding the cheese you bought for the fondue a week later under the front seat of the car,. Its good when you set the paper inside the plastic so you have a square bottom bag with handles.

Plastic, casue you can jst slip your arm through the holes. that being said, you can just put all the bags on your arm, lift up and waddle to the house ( sometime syou ahve lots of groceries!)
they are more likely to hold in wet groceries in if the spill or leak.
Plus plastic doesn't rip as easy, you can use it as a trash bag, they make bigggg bangs when you pop them, and they are easier to carry in general (paper bag handles tear off easily, if the paper bag has any at all.

Paper is good to keep groceries in place in bag. Plastic allows stuff to go where ever. Paper is good for reusing for bk covers, shelf liners ,drawers etc.
Plastic is good for small amt of groceries, so won't waste too much bag. Plastic is good to reuse as garbage can liners.
Either one if you don't reuse, you should recycle or return to gorcery store

Both have broken or ripped apart on me at one time or another,
so I use both. I put the paper bag into the plastic bag and its like
getting your groceries double bagged like we used to get. Also the
big bags are not that big anymore, the stores are cutting their costs by ordering smaller bags.

If you use plastic, you have handles to help you the bags, plus the bags stretch a little for oddly shaped groceries, so plastic.

Either one is okay, but keep in mind that heavy loads rip paper. But plastic get holes, too. Just make sure to recycle!
