Do you think not having to work for money made Islamic countries free to wage war against each other and the rest of the world?

The Muslims would be more peaceful people if their religion didn't tell them to kill those who disagreed with them.

Oil didn't make them violent; it just gave them the money for bigger guns.

I don't think that has anything to do with it. The vast majority of Muslims around the world are among the poorest people on the planet. The reason Islam exists is because of the way Arabs & Jews have mistreated each other. Then Christians sided with the Jews since they share a common lineage to God, About 1400 years ago Muhammad was born, and was angry about the way Arabs were being treated. He created this angry religion based on hate & death. Because of their collective frustration, the people around him bought it up & still do for the same reasons. So there is no avoiding it, and oil or lack of it has little to do with the Muslim attitude.

No. That part of the world has always been very tribal. -Kinda like one big unhappy family whose members have always been at each others throats. The oil issue is a relatively recient development. It's taken the creation of Israel to to finally unite the countries in the Middle East about something; they DON'T want Israel to be there. (The moral of the story IS; be careful what you ask for -even when it comes to unity!)

I think what you are trying to get at, is the fact that the Arab world (composed of a good number of Muslims) has needed to not always play nice, due to the other greedy countries who don't even ASK for the Arabs oil... they just take it upon themselves to do what ever needs to be done to TAKE the oil that doesn't belong to them... thus creating a little hostility... now imagine time after time of other people trying to take what is not theirs, and using blunt force to take it... you would probably get a little hostile too.

yes I think there would be more peace in Islamic countries if there was no oil in them, but not for the reason you said ,it would be because no other country would invade their country for oil.
for example look at the history of Iran and what the Britain's and after them Americans did to it just for one small thing:OIL

Muslims are a peaceful people. It's those who twist the religion that make it not peaceful so don't put all Muslims in the same group.

When their prophet was still alive, the Muslims were running around killing people under his directions. And, there was no oil market in those days, and they weren't rich. They just like to kill anyone who doesn't share their religion.
