You can only ever get a rough estimate, and www.xe.com is a good place to get it, since currency rates are changing all the time.
Also, if you are thinking of buying something with a credit card (eg via the web) your credit acompany will load the rate and may well charge a fee for doing the currency conversion.
If you buy money at an airport or other bureau de change they will charge commission and or load the exchange rate.
