If your kids are teenagers, you don't even have to try--everything you do pretty much embarrasses them.

I don't have kids yet. However my mom or stepdad have embarasse me big time a couple time.

My stepdad love to take out some pics of me from when I was like 8 or 9 years old and show it to my friends.

Once when I was about 12 or 13, I and my family was at Sonic burger. We all were sitting outside, my half brother got a clay of some kind as a toy. I pick it up and play with it a bit then I decide to be pain in the as5 so I try to push it into my mom's mouth. My mom pulled back and notice everyone was laughing at her because outline of her teeth was blue like the clay. So she grabbed the clay from me and I realized what she was about to do so I got up and sprint, however my mom grab me by the shirt before I could get away. She process to wrestle me to the ground and smear clay all over my mouth :-( My mom work with kids with emotion problem so she is use to wrestle them and hold them down so they doesn't hurt anyone else.

My kids are 14 and 15 years old. All it takes is my PRESENCE to embarrass them! Don't trip on it. I was cool to them a few years ago, and I'll be cool again some day. lol So just take it as something that you must go through raising kids.

I don't have kids, but I can imagine that it's part of a parents job is to teach a child a little humility... They learn to be humble and happy with who they are and they learn not to care what other people think of them. Just.. keep it easy. Don't go overboard. If you do that then they'll end up not wanting to be around you and disliking being in public with you.

Yes! When my son was in Junior High we were walking down an area by our house where there are lots of restaurant and shops on a Friday night. Well keep hitting my arm and I told him if he didn't stop I was going to tackle him and lick his face. So he hit me again and ran! I chased him down, tackled him, sat on his chest and licked his face. Right in front of a restaurant that has outside eating!
He was SO embarrassed! I thought it was funny = )~

Absolutely!! One of the best ways I found of keeping my kid from being a brat in public was to embarrass her publicly when she did it. Trained her really fast that way.

My next goal is to live long enough to be a burden to her.

Of course, I act like Madea, or at least that is what they say.
Thier friends tend to think I am cool. They dont .

Its all about the love!!!!!!

It's also bonding. Believe it or not it breeds closer relationships with your kids when done the correct way

I am Godmother to twin 14 yr. old girls. Their Mother and I love to pull the country bumpkin act out when we take them shopping in Atlanta. We'll be in he middle of Sax 5th Ave. or Neiman-Marcus with the girls and their Mother and I will start talking like we just left the farm. We'll pick up something and start asking stupid, country questions about it -- how does this thang work? Do ya wear this on youre head or on youre butt? Does this perfume smell like scuppornog grapes or muskiedine grapes to you?

It drives them crazy.

No, I don't have kids at the moment, but if or when I do, I plan to have a big party to celebrate once they run away from home or go off to college! To answer your question though, I embarass myself too much to have time to do it to other people.

When my son was 5.
I had checked out and paid for the groceries, loaded them in the cart, gotten half way out to the car, and he takes his hand out of his pants pocket - shows me a pack of gum, with a big grin, and says - 'look what I got!'
We turned around, went back inside, waited 'till the checker finished with the next customer, then ----
He was told to return the gum, into her hand, and apologize for taking it, without asking me, or paying for it.
He was in tears, with embarrassment.
Years later, I had forgotten this incident - until he reminded me; when he had to do the exact same thing with his daughter at the grocery store, when she was 8.
