Recently I have been drinking Seltzer (0 Calories, just flavored water, no sugar, 0 everything). What is better for me to drink, Seltzer, Or water? I always hear don't have pop too much, so I drink a lot of water. Then I bought some seltzer. Its really good with no calories. Which is better for me to drink? Is there a catch that seltzer tastes so good with no calories? How is it flavored and has no calories? thanks-

Seltzer is carbonated water. If the flavored versions have zero calories, there are two possilities: either they are artificial flavors or the calories are trace amounts, which are not necessary to report. Zero isn't always exactly zero. ;-)

If the flavors are artifical, I'd suggest that if the "gas" isn't bothering your stomach, consider drinking unflavored seltzer, which really doesn't have any calories at all. Otherwise, plain water is your best option.

A further consideration: "Carbonated water, also known as soda water, sparkling water, or seltzer water, is plain water into which carbon dioxide gas has been dissolved. The process of dissolving carbon dioxide gas is called carbonation. It results in the formation of carbonic acid (which has the chemical formula H2CO3).

In the past, soda water was produced in the home by "charging" a refillable seltzer bottle by filling it with water and then adding sodium bicarbonate. Club soda may be identical to plain carbonated water or it may contain a small amount of table salt, sodium citrate, sodium bicarbonate, potassium bicarbonate, potassium sulfate, or disodium phosphate, depending on the bottler. These additives are included to emulate the slightly salty taste of homemade soda water."
