My boyfriend has little red bumps all over his tighs and bum only, they just came up suddenly yesterday, there are a few new ones today and they still look very red. I'm 95% sure they aren't pimples, as they don't look like them at all. He does work outside everyday and yesterday went for a swim in a community pool. He's worried whether or not to get them checked out by a doctor, any help?

I also get little red bumps, mostly on my arms, but have had them on my legs, ears and neck. Tiny little red bumps that itch drastically and then of course spread from itching. I seem to be the first to also get a flat little rash going up the back of my legs at the same time. The cause - the sun. I have an allergy (sensitivity) to the ultra rays of the sun. I have several creams and medications for this allergy. Sun block doesn't help. Some years it's not to bad but then there are years that I can't stand it. People think I am nuts wearing a long sleeve shirt on a sunny beautiful day, but I can't help it, I need to, to help protect my arms. Perhaps your boyfriend is now becoming sensitive to the sun also, being that he works in it everyday. I do suggest seeing a doctor if it continues, especially if it is a sun allergy. It won't get better working in the sun without meds, if it isn't from the sun, which I would hope for you, then at least you would know and possibly avoid an infection.
