Great question and I think that it is a combination of all of those things you suggested. I was never spanked as a child by my parents but my hubby spanks me in a playful way at times which leads to some incredible sex. I don't tell him how much I enjoy it but he knows!

There's been endless debate about this. Some people reckon it's implanted by childhood discipline, but there are far too many exceptions to make it a plausible theory - people unspanked as kids who now love being spanked, vice versa, and so on.
Most likely it's something you're born with, like being gay. But ultimately who cares? If spanking's your thing, go ahead and enjoy it!

I dont think spanking being and inborn trait is scientifically possible...probably just a fetish...

sometimes people feel they need to be punished for some reason, having to do with self-esteem, abandonment, or rejection. It hurts, but it also feels good.
