music on cd's are encoded with an encoding that is resistant to errors. When your cd's skip it means that they are damaged beyond what the error correction code can prevent. Different cd-players have different strengths to their lasers. A stronger laser may be able to read the data off of the cd better. Often computer cd-drives have much stronger lasers than music players because they are designed to read faster. So, it is possible that reading a cd on your computer will help reduce skipping. Your best best is to buy a cd scratch repair kit. They are usually on the order of $20

Usually comuter CD drives are more reliable when it comes to extracting and reading information from a CD or media type, but it depends on how scratched the CD is. If it readily skips inside a CD PLAYER (test on CD player first before computer) throughout the CD then you have a problem, but if the skipping is isolated to one song then you should be able to reproduce it onto another disk with little to no skipping.

It depends on how bad the scratch is.

I've had some scratched CD's that ripped fine, but others still had the skip. I've also done exact copies of CD's with scratches and gotten a better play from the copy than the scratched original.

that depends on how bad the scratch is. It's happened to me a couple of times that songs were skiping in the CD player, but when I copied them to the PC they played without problems. Unfortunatelly it's not always like that

I didn't know this until I ripped a scratched CD to my comp. It's something to do with the digital something-or-other. In short, they'll be like brand new! Good luck!

I think it will skip. Depends on how bad of a scratch. I've had them skip and not skip.

They will most likely skip unless your drive can read through the scratches and error correct (iTunes is the bomb for importing).

out of most of my experience, computers can read the disk it will be fine, if the comp can't read the disk (aka See through holes in the mirror of CD) then it can't do anything.
NO it won't skip on computer though. either it can read it or it can't.

possibly. the data stream may get corrupted and miss some info on the disc. but usually things are okay, if it is really scratched up then you will have to worry about it

basic... create 2 folders on your comp... replica a million record to folder a million. yet another record to folder 2. you may accomplish that extremely. as for the style you recognize which record to repeat... i assume u will choose the latest replica precise? bypass to "View", "information". Then examine under the "changed" tab, see which record has been changed the latest often is the replica u choose. each and every of the desirable and solid success!!!
