Gen 1:26-27-Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness..." And God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him.
Is 44:24-Thus says the Lord [Jehovah], your Redeemer, and the one who formed you from the womb, "I, the Lord [Jehovah], am the maker of all things, stretching out the heavens by Myself, and spreading out the earth all alone..."
John 1:3-All things came into being by Him [the Word], and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. [If Jesus was created, then he created himself]
isaiah 45:18 KJV: For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.
Rom 11:36-God...For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things.
John 1:10-He [Jesus] was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him.
Eph 3:9-...God, who created all things...
Col 1:15-16-And He [Jesus] is the image of the invisible God, the first-born [cp. Ps 89:27, Gen 41:51-52, Jer 31:9] of all creation. For [Gr. because] by him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities-all things have been created by Him and for Him.
Heb 1:8,10-But of the Son...He also says, "In the beginning, O Lord, you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment. You will roll them up like a robe; like a garment they will be changed. But you remain the same, and your years will never end."
Heb 3:3-4-For He [Jesus] has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, by just so much as the builder of a house has more honor than the house. For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God.

Okay, as I see it, Jesus it representative of the "GODHEAD'S THEOPHANY - child node & intercessionary mode of operandi... Jesus has always been with "The Divine Personality/ Core Spirit" (FATHER/MOTHER - parent node) Jesus is that which emmanates from the 'mouth' of God... Jesus is the Will of God Made Manifest... He was there from the time of creation... from the beginning... so yes, Jesus was the intercessionary creating part of the God head as The Divine Personality streched HIS/HER Holy Spirit across the cosmos. Let me add to this:
As a "theist" I want to boil this down to both a geometric perspective, and one that is "somatic." Theologians can agree (or disagree) but the ideas here do not vary that much from what many refer to as the 'pagan' "trinity." It makes perfect sense to me that an omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent being - all "rolled into one," has needs to approach ITS creation from different levels from the various aspects of ITS Unity... "The Father/Mother" or Divine Personality is the "core-vertical" most removed and 'holy' or left unto sacrosanct "turf"; The Son/Daughter or Intercessional Theophany - that "Word Incarnate," that which proceeds from the "mouth" of the "parent node"(the WILL,"TRUTH, & WAY" made manifest) - is then the 45* angle "focused" on direct dialogue "PRN" (as needed); and the "Holy Spirit" or omnipresent essence of the "God-head" - alive in that "voice" in each sentient entity in universe, is the horizontal - ubiquitous aspect that seeks to find instrumentality within the "souls" of all sentient entities.
My belief has implications for alternate "man-made" cybernetic environments (e.g., embedded systems) - closed, semi-permeable, or open. If God is spirit, force, & intellect, then as part of 'His/Her creation, we represent the negentropic phenomena of universe for a reason... Hawking's Anthropic Principle alludes to the universe's special "place" for us - as observer's meant to record the universe as it unfolds, but I would add that there is much more to it... we are here to learn, and to learn on every level of ecological concern... from physical, social, and environmental, to the mental & spiritual & somatic.
From this, God must exist to serve us (service us?) in ways that keep us "on track." So God is separate but everywhere, interventionalist & non-interventionalist... on some levels unchanging, on others, forever changing... I hope you can grasp the full and resplendent "complementarity" here, and that the God-head is both "knowable" (to some limited extent) but also unfathomable.

The invisible Spirit who Yahu'eh is lived fully in the Son of the living God who is the only visible part of our God Yahu'eh you will ever see. Men have argued for 2 thousand years as to how it all works for it is the mystery of the evangel/good news Paul talks about. Yahu'eh is the Saviour in Isaiah's writings while Yahu'shua is the Saviour in the Apostolic writings. The Father Invisible Spirit and the Son the human visible being are distinct in lots of ways but when we try to make them too distinct than the Scriptures(66 books)do then they don't make a lot of sence. I think it was intended this way so that those that are intended to read and understand will. The rest are just blind leaders of the blind.
Yes Wormwood, Jehovah and Jesus are poor transliterations of Yahu'eh and Yahu'shua from the Hebrew into Greek Iesous or n, to the Latin Iesus, to Iesus in Old English to Jesus in modern times. Peter Galatin the confessor to the Pope came up with "Iehouah" as a transliteration that when the English got ahold of changing the I to a French J and the u to a German/Teutonic v became Jehovah. Try letting your Jehovah's Witness friends in on this fact of history next time they insist His name is Jehovah!
The Jehovah's Witnesses who accept Yahu'shua or Jesus as the Son of the living God are no more in error than most of the errors we find in those groups like Catholics, Baptist, Pentecostals etc..... who claim to be Orthodox because they explain Him through the Trinity which they claim makes everyone who doesn't a heretic! Go figure!.
If you want to find something interesting send for the pamplets on Jehovah's Witnesses and United Pentecostals from Christian Research Institute founded by Dr Walter Martin and run now by Hank Hannagraf(don't know if I spelled his last name right). The pamplet for the Jehovah's Witnesses emphatically states Jesus is Jehovah or Yahweh because that shows another error of the Jehovah's Witnesses, and the pamplet for the United Pentecostals, a Oneness (concurrent modalistic monarchians) Apostolic Pentecostal sect, adamantly insist that Jesus is the Son of God. Yahu'eh must sit on His throne and just laugh and laugh and laugh at his children or is it so sad it breaks his heart?

LOL, Happy_Hammer got best answer for this:
Stanley R - your additional arguments are impeccible and accurate. Because JW's are guided by the watchtower over and above the Bible then there is an element of a closed mind akin to brainwashing which through conditioning will programme a JW to refuse others beliefs to the point of claiming they are true and others are false. Without the watchtower constantly feeding them, then they will have a problem with any argument.
You're using a bad bible, cut it out. Or you may suffer the consequences. Use the NAB. For a definition of God see the NAB John 1:1-4. Thank you.

Jehovah is the ultimate Architect and Power.
Jesus is the 'Master Worker' and 'Chief Agent' of his Almighty Father. (see Prov 8:30; Acts 3:15)
(John 1:2,3) This one [Jesus] was in the beginning with God [Jehovah]. 3 All things came into existence through him, and apart from him not even one thing came into existence.
(1 Corinthians 8:6) There is actually to us one God the Father, out of whom all things are, and we for him; and there is one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things are, and we through him.
(John 1:8-10) [John the Baptist] was not that light, but he was meant to bear witness about that light. 9 The true light that gives light [Jesus]... was in the world, and the world came into existence through him
(Colossians 1:15-17) He [Jesus] is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; 16 because by means of him all things were created in the heavens and upon the earth, the things visible and the things invisible... All things have been created through him and for him. 17 Also, he is before all things and by means of him all things were made to exist
(Hebrews 1:1-2) God, who long ago spoke on many occasions and in many ways to our forefathers by means of the prophets, 2 has at the end of these days spoken to us by means of a Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the systems of things
(Proverbs 8:22-30) Jehovah himself produced me [Jesus] as the beginning of his way, the earliest of his achievements of long ago. 23 From time indefinite I was installed, from the start, from times earlier than the earth. 24 When there were no watery deeps I was brought forth as with labor pains, when there were no springs heavily charged with water. 25 Before the mountains themselves had been settled down, ahead of the hills, I was brought forth as with labor pains, 26 when as yet he had not made the earth and the open spaces and the first part of the dust masses of the productive land. 27 When he prepared the heavens I was there; when he decreed a circle upon the face of the watery deep, 28 when he made firm the cloud masses above, when he caused the fountains of the watery deep to be strong, 29 when he set for the sea his decree that the waters themselves should not pass beyond his order, when he decreed the foundations of the earth, 30 then I came to be beside him as a master worker, and I came to be the one he was specially fond of day by day

Looks to me like you don't need us mere mortals to answer your question.
I can't quote where it came from, but at one point in the bible, Jesus criticises some Pharisees for making a big deal about praying on street corners to make themselves look pious.
You will probably find that those with the deepest religious faith and those who do works in God's name do not need to prove that they can quote the bible. Why don't you get out there and do something to change someone's life, instead of pretending to be religeous.

In Matthew devil tells Jesus to hurl himself down for that's written that God could call the angels to Jesus help so he does not strike his foot against a stone. and that's while Jesus tells devil to no longer temp God. In Luke this is an identical ingredient devil is telling Jesus to place God to the attempt by throwing himself off the battlement of the temple and notice if God could quit Jesus from getting harm and Jesus tells devil to no longer placed God to the attempt. Summation - Jesus Christ isn't Jehovah God.

Okay, lets get something straight. Jesus didn't create the universe. God did. And, when it says Lord in the bible, that does NOT mean Jehova. Jehova's Witness is a false believe, that comes from who knows what. God wants you to have fun and celebrate things. God wants you to celebrate the birth of his son. Why not???
