No, plain and simple, no. In the Bible there is a passage, I forget which one, that tells of how the devil tried to tempt Jesus, and he never succeeded. This is because Jesus was so dedicated that he would not falter. People think that Jesus, because he is basically God, could resist anything. This is not true while he was on earth he was human, and faced, and defeated all temptation. Proving that humans can resist temptation, and the devil cant make you do anything.

Yes, the devil can tempt us to do and say things that are not good for us or for others. The work of Satan is to discredit good and righteous, to taint all encouragement and support and to give good people and God a bad reputation.
He is aware of God, yet is not more powerful. That is what we have going for us. God is more powerful than Satan and the few non-believers that are still hanging on to the lies that Satan spreads.
He recruits the weak, the despondent and those without direction to serve him and confuse others into doing things that are irresponsible and impractical, while harming others and ourselves. In all this time, he is laughing at us and those who suffer from these things and words of torment.

If you are unsaved, you can be possessed by a devil, but the Devil can never make you do anything. All he can do is set the temptation to sin. It is always your choice whether or not to give in to that sin.

Check out the Bible. God gave the Israelites a choice to be his people or not. He gives us free will, if the Devil could MAKE us do things, that would be unfair on God's part. That doesn't mean we can't be persuaded to do things though. Satan is very persuasive.

That's a fairly big cop out. Ask the real questiion - I am guessing it is either 'does the devil exist' or 'can I blame anything I do on the devil?'

Yes, if you are under His power. If you don't have Christ, you are under Satan's empire which is sin. The Devil tempt Adam in the garden. Adam sinned and brought sin in this would. we are all born with sins cause we inherit Adam. God has a plan to save his predestines, so He sent his son, Christ which he promised the Jewish people throughout all the old testament to come and redeem us. Jesus was born by a virgin and the spirit concealed Him because He was Holy from birth. He did not inherit Adam's sins. So all who believe in Christ and accept his gift of life through faith will be saved and the Holy spirit will help them and free them from Satan's dominion for they are redeem and therefore have a new master.

If you resist the devil he will flee from you (James 4:7). He can't make you unless you yield into temptation, a willing vessel.

No, you have the free will to act as you wish. If you're possessed on the other hand then that's different, but then again it's probably your own doing if that's the case. Most cases of demon possession occur because the people who were possessed messed around with things that they didn't understand such as witchcraft or the ouji board and they inadverdantely invited demons in.

We, of the human race have the ability to choose between right and wrong. I don't think the devil has the power to "make" us do things unless we empower him to influence us. If we embrace evil, the ultimate decision to do evil rests with us.
