my dear katie I never claimed to be a moral person , I am the first to admit my immorality, but I do not hate you or others for being religious , I think all that hate based on their god are creating more harm in this worlds than good and really behave evil and call themselves holy

The intolerance is a human trait, not God's. Unfortunately we are never cured of sin and its stain - we can only be covered by the blood of our Savior. And even that doesn't change us immediately. Coming to believe that God is and what God does takes time and patience.
Hate? Why does disagreeing with someone mean that I hate them? I hate no one and attempt to love all. But I make no bones about my disagreement with their views. Doesn’t mean I hate. Just means I disagree. But hate is impossible for a real Christian, because everything is all tied to the love of God.
Nor do I want to condemn you to hell. Even if I had the power (which only God does) I wouldn't. As I said, God is all about love. God loves all and wants us all to join Him in Heaven. That's why we all have the choice of whether to accept His simple terms - either accept Jesus as who He is or not.
Unfortunately you have run into, as we all do, the Christianazis. They are the modern-day Pharisees who are so deluded as to believe that they are better than you simply because they made the choice & you haven't. God is no respected of persons - He loves all equally. And Jesus left us with the commandment that we are to do the same.
The question of whether to accept Jesus or not is an intensely personal one, but many make it harder than it has to be. The decision doesn't have to be immediate. You can mull it over and allow the love of God to massage your heart into the position of accepting this. Many make this seem like an almost insurmountable issue, but it's really not. Let's apply the same issue to real life.
For purposes of discussion let's say you haven't ever been to the Bahamas, but you have heard about its beauty and its attractions. If you have been there and would prefer, insert your choice of destination you haven't visited. Someone approaches you and asks if you know about the Bahamas. You reply & say that you have and it sounds great. The person tells you that they read about it and it sounds wonderful to them as well. Then they ask if you'd like a ticket for an all-expenses paid move to the Bahamas. You would be transported there and once there, would never want for anything - everything would be provided to you at no cost forever. But in order to take advantage of this gift, you have to be willing to believe that the person is telling the truth. That's all. No strings attached. Is there anyone reading this who wouldn't take advantage of this offer?
So if you would take this offer, why is it so hard to understand that God is offering the same thing, only infinitely better?
May God bless you and hold you safely in the palm of His mighty hand.

Intolerance is not mandatory. I've never heard preaching in a church which called for Christians to be intolerant. Where do you get this stuff from?
Churches plainly teach what the Bible says about sin. If the Bible says sex outside of marriage (any kind of sex, not just homosexual sex) is sin than that is what the church teaches. HOWEVER, it does not teach that you should hate and abuse the sinner. We are all sinners.
There is no difference before God between a homosexual or a heterosexual who is ignoring God's will. They both stand condemned.
God has rules. He is a sentient Being with a will and a personality. He isn't just a blob in space who will let anything pass. He doesn't exist to make us happy and rich. He expects us to follow the guidelines that He has set down and He's made these guidelines because He knows us better than we know ourselves. He set down guidelines that would be the most beneficial to us if we follow them.
You must also remember that He is God and we are not. Therefore He gets to make the rules. You can follow them or not as you choose. However, there is always a price to pay if you don't follow the path God has made for us to follow. It's up to you.

If you believe that morality should not include intolerance, then don't practice intolerance. Unfortunately, that would mean accepting that other people have a right to their beliefs even if you personally find them distasteful. And it sounds like you still have a way to go on that count.
If there is any problem with organized religion, it's that it eventually ceases to be about the religion and becomes more centered on the organization. But nobody has the lock on intolerance, sweetheart.

I have wondered the same thing. as a former catholic,I know you cannot have sex unless you are trying to have a baby with your husband, so if you live in sin, use birth control, arenot a virgin when you are married or are gay, you are going to hell, this is pretty intolerant and rude and stoning is a practice popular in all religions in history including christianity, I just looked over some of the questions and answers in this section and there is an awful lot of hatred here in the name of god, how sad it is that hypocrisy can make the word God synonymous with malevolent

There's an intolerance clause?
Gosh I really need to read the fine print!
Here I thought it was all about love!
Hun, religion is a rather emotional subject.
My own rationale is:
Religion has existed for as long as there have been people to worship.
Every culture we know about has had some sort of religion, I've never heard of one single culture that was atheist in its origins.
Religion is mankinds way of reaching out beyond ourselves, to God.
Jesus Christ is God's way of reaching down to mankind.
I see God as being all about love, and Jesus as being the ultimate expression of that love. That is why I am a Christian.
Sometimes, I'm sure, I get over-excited about my faith, and maybe I come on too strong. In that case, I do apologize. For me, love is...well, there are no words. I would like to share what I have found with everyone...but so far I've not figured out how to do that without offending somebody.
Could you maybe advise me on that?

at the start, each and every little thing in life became no longer created by human beings: the universe is one ingredient. Secondly, there are various variations of God and there are better than one holy e book. Now that we are clean on those factors, specific, i think that each and every little thing IS GOD (Pantheism) and the Bible is a team of hogwash, that "godist" religions, for the main section, advise nicely yet truly have not had lots of a favorable impact on the human race, that there isn't any such place as heaven or hell - those are states of being, no longer actual "places", and evil of direction does it exist, so there is no longer something to disbelieve there.

Colossians 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. Clearly a contradiction, for what is said is this mans philosophy on what he believes, so are we to take it to mean that we should not listen to him? No of course not, we are to take it to mean that we should listen to no one but him, as if no one else could be inspired by God, by any other means. This is not a fact just what he believes and he hopes that you will believe it too.

I agree with you.
All religions believe that thier religion is the only true one... that everyone who doesnt think there way is condemned one way or another, and that they must convert or prosecute everyone who does not believe as they do.
To everyone thier own. I wont convert you so long as you dont condemn me.
Why cant we all just get along? Tell your god to shove it.

The greatest intolerance that we see on Y!Answers comes from those who claim to have no religion. To impute' intolerance' to religion is prejudiced and intolerant.
You are what you hate.
