That's the worst. You could be broke and ugly and suffer from "nice guy syndrome", but if you're social and talk to all these women you'll eventually score (but you'll get the "you're like my brother" a lot). Shy... you're stuck.

You'll have to put yourself in very uncomfortable situations.

1) Try to expand your social circle. I'm sure you're not shy about talking to guys about cars or football or whatever. Make guy friends, get invited to their parties, and meet the girls there. And through the guys/girls you meet at the party, get invited to even more events and meet more people. You could try playing team sports, even join some poker group or whatever, Texas hold'em is all the rage these days.

2) Start by getting a lot of "you're like my brother" female friends. That should be easy. And hang out with them as much as possible. You'll never score with them because you would not have played your part correctly (hence got stuck in the "like a brother"). But the good thing is that you get to practice talking to women. And since you know you have no chance of scoreing with them, should be a lot less pressure. If you can carry an interesting coversation with women, that's a big plus.

Then comes the hard parts:

3) Lose respect for women. I don't mean disrespect women, you should never do that. But if you respect women too much, you become stiff and you'll never try anything. Some women like dirty jokes you know.

4) Get rejected so many times that it doesn't even flinch you anymore. I'm working on this. I can hit up on women that I meet that act friendly toward me, but I can't just walk up to some random woman at a bar and hit on her. But that's the level you want to achieve. If the woman tells you to f--- off, you shrug and hit up on the chick right next to her. That's the level of the masters. Maybe you can do like a rejection boot camp -- Find a fellow shy buddy, have a competition to see who can get rejected the most number of times within an hour. Try this at a bar that's not close to you so chances are you'll never see these people ever again, if you're shy about that. If you're nice about the rejection (not get angry at the woman or something), most women won't care. They tell you no, you walk away and never bother them ever again, nothing wrong with that. But know that a lot of women are really mean, they do that to counter the stalkers that never give up or dumb drunks that can't take a hint (but some women are just plain nasty). Don't take it personally.

But these are just ways to get over your shyness. There are other things to work on to give you an edge. Basically, money, looks, and getting their attention in a good way (like dance really well).

Go buy an outfit that you feel good in. Get your friends together, and go out to a local club! It's easier to talk to women in a social atmosphere. I'm not saying that's where you need to meet your girlfriend (even though I met my current boyfriend out dancing...I'm 28), but it's good practice to talk to women. And don't be intimidated to go up to a girl if she is with a group of girls. I know it's scary, and girls can be mean, but it's very flattering for a sweet guy to talk to you! Also...don't be insecure and say mean things to her. This has happened to me a lot. A cute, smart, sweet guy will buy me a drink and then pick on me for being vegetarian or something. Be flattering, but not creepy, and stay positive! Just be yourself! Lots of girls like shy guys!

Take the bull by technique of the horns with the intention to talk. basically tell him flat out the way you sense about him and that you prefer to bounce his bones. 9 cases out of 10 he will sense a similar way about you. not in any respect omit an threat, he ought to locate yet another swifter than you're prepared to state your case. feels like one order of shy dude with an aspect order of shy lady to me.
