Too many Republicans in office. There used to be that the politicos were afraid to anger their constituents for fear of being voted out of office. So how did the Republicrooks change it to where they could do what they wanted, no matter what the mass majority said. REDISTRICTING. This is how they got Dubya elected by coming in second place.

If you're serious about this question, it's because the American people are trusting or just a little bit niave and lazy. These days, not just corporations but politicans have spin doctors who with their access to the media who are frightened of a freeze out, can manipulate the American public into whatever they want.

Seriously, what are the chances of a President who barely won his election both terms under suspicious circumstances, anyone every ask that. Also is there any president other one other who I think was just incompetant, I forgot his name but any other President aside from Bush, that people disrespect so much. This is not a Bush rant but this Administration just really push the boundaries of what has been happen in the past. If you were truly a patriotic citizen of this country, you should your best to find out the truth on what's happening. Support your country, ALWAYS, support your president, only when he deserves it.

Because right now the government is very confident in being able to manipulate the masses.

Just look at that last election. Everything pointed toward the fact that we needed to get rid of Bush but what did the masses do... the brainwashed majority falling for Bush's christianity, Bushian, voted for him again.

The government SHOULD ALWAYS fear the ppl.

In every country except America they have no reason to be afraid, the populace is unarmed. In America, the government if sufficiently oppressive would have to deal with 100 million civilian owned guns.

Well..here in Britain, we've never been a revolutionary coutnry..we just dont 'do' uprisings..why should the government fear us?

If we did ever become a Fascist nation, as in V for Vendetta (i assume thats where your quote came from :P) i can see the maority of people would just try to justify it and not physically combat it, as i think many western nations would.

Facism is, after all, ever western nations guilty desire..to be supreme, ordered, the top dog...Plato liked it anyways...
