I rarely make marinades, so I don't have a homemade recipe. HOWEVER, about a year or so ago, I discovered the BEST store bought marinade, and my family loves it (even my two toddlers). It's in with the steak sauce, ketchup, etc. at Kroger. It's called Jack Daniels garlic and herb marinade. (There's no liquor in it.) It's so easy...all you do is open the bag, throw your chicken in it and let it marinade at least 30 minutes. We usually bake it, but you can grill it too. I think it's the preferred method of cooking, actually.

you'll never know which is the best recipe until you try them all - but I use 1/4 cup oil, 1/4 cup soy sauce, 1 tablespoon McCormick's Grill Mates Mesquite seasoning, and 1-2 Tablespoons lime or lemon juice.
Mix together in a ziploc bag with the chicken, seal, set on the counter for 4 hours or in the fridge for 6 hours ( but make sure meat is at room temp before cooking this cooks the meat evenly).
This also works for steaks and is great for grilling! trust me on this recipe!

One part honey to two parts orange jc, plus tsp of minced garlic and 2 Tbsp of Dijon mustard. First save part of sauce to pour on chicken just before done, discard sauce used to marinate chicken after marinating for 30 minutes. Cook in a skillet until chicken is done and serve over fluffy rice. Yum! Can sprinkle with toasted almonds for an oriental flare.

I usually make a spicy sauce for mine. I take 1/2 c ketchup, 2 tsp oil, 2 tbsp hot sauce (or more depending on taste), and a little worcester. I leave it in a tightly covered dish as long as possible and then cook it. Yummy and spicy

The cheapest italian salad dressing you can find...use one of those "generic" store brands...and add the juice of about three lemons.

Extra virgin olive oil, plus a little vinegar, plus a lemon squeezed into it (or lemon juice.) Good every time!
