Going strawberry blond from copper/red?

I have copper/red/auburn hair and I'm thinking about going strawberry blond. Any suggestions which kit to use if I do it myself? or is this something better left to a pro? I am naturally blond... not sure if it makes a difference, but that's where I started when I went auburn last Jan. Any tips are appreciated!
