I have a friend who is afraid of water, so the pastor let her slide on the baptism thing. He sprinkled her instead, and said that Jesus would understand. Was he right? She she be forced to be dunked in obedience to Christ?

Well no, in my opinion she should swallow her fears and be dunked in the name of Christ but if she truly changed and wanted to serve Christ , but just to scared of the water God would understand. Funny thought, but maybe thats why the Methodist sprinkle water instead of dunking.

I have a fear of drowning not a fear of water. I was baptized when I was 7. I wasn't afraid of the water. I am not afraid of heights but afraid of falling from such great heights. I don't think that the preacher who baptized your friend was wrong. I don't think that I will be afraid to go with Jesus in the rapture. There is not supposed to be any sorrow or pain so I assume that my fears will be erased too.
