Ha. Although I think you've definitely offended some people, it's mostly true. I mean, can someone explain to me how believing exclusively in an ancient story in a single book can be more intelligent than believing a theory that has been tested and passed time and time again?

OK, I'm not trying to knock religion or anything, I respect people's views, it just seems funny to me that someone can ask, How can evolution be true if it's only a THEORY but not consider the possibility that their own idea of the origin of man is on shakier ground than mine, you know?

Just because a christian believes in scientific theories and facts that doesn't make them a non-christian. There are a lot of scientists out there that still go to church on Sunday. People like you are so narrow minded, you choose one thing that sounds like it makes sense to you and you rule out all other possibilities. Why can't science and religion both be true. God could've made us in his image, but whose to say what that image is. Maybe it's energy, which is a fundamental element in the big bang theory and evolution. People will tell one another to expand there mind and learn only science or only religion. I say expand your mind and learn everything you can from every possible angle while you're still alive because nobody, no matter how genius they are can not know complete truth or fact. Science is taking some huge steps forward in finding out that Albert Einstein was wrong about a lot of theories. Anyways, The point is this: Balance is the most important aspect in all things, Science and religion are starting to combine, as well they should be.

I don't think that is the definition of story. This is a little closer.

An account or recital of an event or a series of events, either true or fictitious, as:
An account or report regarding the facts of an event or group of events: The witness changed her story under questioning.
An anecdote: came back from the trip with some good stories.
A lie: told us a story about the dog eating the cookies.

A usually fictional prose or verse narrative intended to interest or amuse the hearer or reader; a tale.
A short story.
The plot of a narrative or dramatic work.
A news article or broadcast.
Something viewed as or providing material for a literary or journalistic treatment: "He was colorful, he was charismatic, he was controversial, he was a good story" (Terry Ann Knopf).
The background information regarding something: What's the story on these unpaid bills?
Romantic legend or tradition: a hero known to us in story.
TRANSITIVE VERB:
sto·ried , sto·ry·ing , sto·ries
To decorate with scenes representing historical or legendary events.
Archaic To tell as a story.

Once again it comes down to the point that most religious books have symbolism in them. In the bible there are two stories of how the world was created, therefore both can't be true. However neither are "true" in the sense that you are talking about. Perhaps you should investigate religions with a more open mind.

Why? through fact God made Adam and Eve, no longer Adam and Steve. jk truly, your argument isn't clever. Couples are waiting to have little ones. lots of people who've been carry approximately have self assurance that they can't have little ones, have little ones. people who have self assurance they are too previous to have little ones have certainly had little ones (inclusive of Abraham and Sarah) Couples who choose for to no longer have little ones, so? people who're single, so?? They nonetheless have the skill to. The argument on whether homosexuality is solid or no longer, isn't per who has little ones, this is per what's precise and what's incorrect. or maybe then, the homo-section looses on condition that's certainly a actuality that 2 of an identical intercourse can't reproduce. besides you may no longer in basic terms take one verse from the Bible and base a ton of info on that. The Bible all links mutually, one verse with yet another and yet another and yet another. Even devil used Bible verses to tempt Jesus interior the barren region, yet Jesus used different verses to combat that temptation. absolutely everyone can take a verse out of context and base a ton of suppositions on it. So what i'm getting at is, there became the begining and the creation, God appeared at guy and female and concept, "solid" yet additionally interior the hot testomony and previous testomony alike, there are various a verse that talk approximately homosexuality being incorrect and how we are able to be punished for it. So, truly, whether this is unatural or no longer, the Lord publicizes it as sin, as a result we can't commit that act with out sinning against Him. And we can't sin against Him and stay in fellowship with Him. If we don't stay in fellowship with Him, we don't have a dating with Him- to that end if we deny Him, he will deny us! i assume you comprehend the place this is going. ~SJ

Not every christian religion requires you to make a judgement call on the creation.

Worse, someone told them if they make evolution look bad, or if it is disproven, that will make their stories real.
