Yum, the chocolate and the liquid center is so delicious, but, that "plastic" cherry inside tastes nasty. Wish they made them with the liquid centers and no cherry, just the cherry flavor.

You are talking about the Cherry Cordials.. with the gooey centers.. I dont like the cherrys inside them either. I have resorted to making my own, and it's not hard. Get a jar of marischino cherries with stems. Melt in a glass bowl, chocolate "almond bark" or candy coating. Pat the cherry dry on a paper towel, dip into the chocolate and put on a plate to chill. The juice from the cherry will pool inside and it's much better then the ones you get from the boxes. However, there will NOT be as much of the liquid as you are used to. make sure you coat the whole cherry in chocolate or the juice will ooze out. Good luck

You should Chocolate Cherry flavored Hersey Kisses.. No plastic cherry yet all the flavor. I found them around Valentines day however I am not sure if you can find them right now..

For some fruit centers they do a cream. I totally agree with you that either just the liquid or a cream would be nicer than that nasty fake cherry.
I prefer chocolate covered raspberry cream though, or a raspberry truffle is great too.

Cherries in the more expensive candies tend to not be sooo gummy - if there wasn't a cherry of some kind, I'd not like them as well, I think.

They do make just what you describe, but you don't see them in the general stores. Go to a chocolate factory like Daffin's or Mally's. Also, in these places, the chocolate covered charries are much better than the ones you get at the supermarket.

I love chocolate covered cherries so much! they are so addicting and lovely. if you ask me, whenever I see a box, I buy it and eat it all.
