Just send the files you need to be saved to the burner driver (send to -> * drive). Then just burn them.

Locate the files you want to save - meaning all your pictures, music, videos and any document you have created (letters, etc.). Try to move them all to one folder, or a set of folders under a single folder. (Remember that a single CD only holds 700meg of files, so keep your folders each smaller than that size.

You do NOT need to back up any of the programs, any of the Windows files, or anything in your e-mail or chat.

Assuming the computer as a CD burner, put a blank CD in the drive. A window should open showing the blank CD. Drag the folder(s) holding you stuff to the window. Remeber you can only put 700m of files on a single CD. Once you have the files drag to the CD, go up to the File menu and select Burn Now. It will burn those files to the CD.

If you have more files, continue to burn CDs until you are done.

If you do not have a CD burner, then use do the same using floppies instead, and remember that a floppy only holds 1.4m (are a couple files), so you will want to buy a lot of them

You could just burn them on some CD's if you have a Cd-Writer. All you need to do is select the files/folders to be written to the CD. and drag them to the CD Drive. After you are done doing that for all your files/folders. Just inserta an empty disc and go to the Disc drive. You will find a link saying "Write these files to CD" and follow the steps.

Put a disk in the cd drive and call up your folder. Right click on it and scroll down to 'send to' ............ continue with the others you want to do. Depending on the size of your folders and files you may need more than one disc..........
