You have 2 choices, ask him out or don't. If you know you both like each other then you have nothing to lose. Just go straight up to him and say 'would you like to go out sometime'. Even if you misread the situation and you were wrong you will still be glad you asked.

As him out in a simple way. Say something like, I was wonderin if u wanted to go to the movies do u want to come, or something like that. Be cool, calm ,and collective and you'll do fine.

I have exactly the same problem. I think that if you really want it then you can't just wait around for him, you have to act. It's the 21st century, it's okay for the woman to make the 1st move.
