There would be no humanity or universe if there was no God or other deity... God created us so without him we wouldn't exist

People developed gods in order to explain the unexplainable. It meant they didn't really have to think about anything. The gods are angry so the thunder boomed. The gods are happy so the crops grew. Without the development of gods we would probably be much farther advanced scientifically. We would have had to find real answers instead of using the old standby, "Because the gods willed it so."
There would probably still be war unfortunately. People do seem to fight over the silliest things.
I'm right = You are wrong.
He got a bigger piece of candy than I did.
That's MY parking space.
Your tree is growing over MY fence and blocking MY view.
I'm sure you get the idea. We argue about who left the cap off the toothpaste, or who left the toilet seat up. I see my dogs fight over who's mouse they killed. We are a animal species and therefore want what we want when we want it and woe be it to those who stand in our way.
Writing the books didn't do any more damage than word of mouth religion did. The flaw is in why we believe we are the only person on earth that actually has it right. Ergo, I'm right = You are wrong, and we fight.

There would be no humanity if God didn't exist but God does exist and He is who created humanity. If God didn't exist we would never have been created. He alone is the creator. Whether the Bible had ever been written for us or not would not have made a difference because God would still have been real and there whether His Word had been given or not.

That's like asking: "If there were no drug dealers and drugs weren't' manufactured, where would we be?" The answer is that the demand would cause the manufacture (supply) and pretty soon we'd be somewhere near the situation we're in now.
We have not evolved to a point where alternate institutions can supplant the need for what religion supplies to many individuals in society - and there's no guarantee we ever will. Anti-intellectualism & fear are huge constraints.
Someone would write a book of "Mormon," (or "Harry") or have a "vision," and zap!, faster than you could say "Repent!" there would be followers galore.

We would probably be better off without religious books because instead of having faith in an unknowable and unseen deity, we would have faith in ourselves. Also, if there was no God we wouldn't exist, so there is no point in your question.

We could have invented cures for most or all diseases , possibly even death. We would have created food, water and shelter solutions that could sustain us and the next 100 generations.
Obviously we aren't mature enough to deserve all that yet.
I personally wouldn't share my inventions with anyone yet, would you? You will still be thought of as Satan, for your advancements.

Man's a stupid being....he'd be worshipping fruit or the sun...he'd cook something up.
To be really funky though, I don't think we'd be here.
Simply put, God made us, thus, if we had no God....we would not be here....there's no Darwin Theory to support us coming from monkeys....simply put, if there was, there'd be no monkeys left.
