Depends on what color your hair is. If it is naturally blonde it will lighten it up a little, if it is brown, it will give it a slight reddish tone.....same goes for black hair. It really does not do much for darker hair.

I used to do this, since I was already blonde it just turned my hair a lighter shade of blonde. Thanks for reminding me, haven't done that in ages, might try it. I used to not put pure lemon on it though, would mix it with some water.

um, i put lemon juice on my light brown hair and went out in the sun untill my hair was completley dry and all it did to mine was lighten it, it gave my friend a natural highlight look tho and her hair is like dark brown so.. it depends on how dark/light your hair is

if you have black hair, it will go orange. NOT attractive.
Brown= blonde highlights.

Blonde - it turns bleach blonde.
Light/Medium Brown - it turns orange.
Dark brown - it turns red.
