The lot of water and daily exercise part sounds great, however, not eating for a month is insane. You need to give your body the right food for it to be able to function. If you don't eat, your body will not only attack your body fat, but more importantly your muscles. Also, for your body to be able to have an efficient exercise, which should consist of cardio and weight training, it needs protein and various other dietary components.
Now, if you don't eat for a month, or even just a week, you will lose weight. Your body will automatically slow down all of its functions, inculding metabolism. But you cannot not eat for the rest of your life. As soon as you start eating again your body which has been neglected will start filling the fat cells again, preparing itself for times when you will start starving again. This is also known as the yo-yo syndrome.
If you want to lose weight effectively and healthily you will have to adjust your lifestyle permanently. It's not enough if you eat healthy for a month, exercise for a month, or whatever. This needs to be a lifetime goal. Try to do 30 minutes of cardio 3-4 times a week and also try to incoroporate some weight training. Eat healthy; lots of green veggies, lots of water, lean meat or seitan/tofu if you're a vegetarian.

Don't stop eating. Just stop eating unhealthy things. You need to burn 3500 calories to lose one pound. Times your body weight by 10 and then add your body weight (ex. 120 x 10= 1200 + 120 = 1320). That gives you how many calories your body burns everyday just to survive. If you keep track of your food intake and your exercise, you'll be able to figure out how long it takes you to lose a pound.

sounds like suicide! u can't live without food for a month while exercising everyday (and u wont b able to exercise everyday)... but ur on the right track with the water and exercise ... altho u have to eat .. sorry
